Longest Vessel at Perth Harbour |

11th February 2009 One of the longest vessels ever to visit Perth Harbour arrived on the high tide yesterday. The 94.7 metre Russian registered MV Baltiskiy 110 wheat carrier was unloaded and set sail again on the high tide today. A spokesman for the Morris Young Stevedore Division said "The ship was carrying 2100 tonnes of wheat from Vierow, Germany. The ship will now be heading home to St Petersburg, Russia. It is one of the longest ships we have had at the Harbour." |

16th December 2008 A boat carrying the largest cargo ever seen in Perth arrived in the early hours of Monday morning. Antwerp registered Fast Sam docked at 4am, carrying 2600 tonnes of German wheat from Rostock. This tops the previous record of 2355 tonnes of soda ash imported from Gdansk. |
